On Tuesday 21st May, the year 9 cricket team won their first round at the County Under 14's cup match against Newcastle-u-Lyme school. Alleyne’s made their way to a 34 run win, having made the guests chase a 95 run total.

The star of the batting innings was Aiden Schmid who top scored with 61, hitting 3 sixes and several fours during a fine knock at the crease.

The bowling attack was as ferocious, with a joint effort from all the bowlers, Elliot Wilson being the pick of the bunch taking three wickets and conceding only 11 runs, the opposition reaching 61 runs for 6 wickets - what a great result!

Alleynes High school students took part in the Stafford & District Athletics Championships on Monday 20th May 2013 and performed very well with several students being selected to compete at the County Championship.

The students who are to be congratulated for their efforts are;
Ella Loveridge – Shot Putt & Discus, Billie Jo Warburton – Javelin, Hannah Woodcock – Long Jump, Natalie Tyler - Long Jump, Steph Gibson – Discus & Shot Putt, Michael Parry-Thomas – Javelin, Oliver Hand – Discus & Triple Jump, Jack Littlehales – Shot Putt, Anthony Hebb – 80m Hurdles.

A big well done to all the students who took part in representing, Alleyne’s High School. We wish them well in the County Championship.

Year 11 Grade C Maths Booster Session - 30th May 2013 10.00am-12.30pm

Excellent news! On Tuesday 7th May 2013 at the Staffordshire Young Enterprise Final, Alleyne's team Equipo won the competion and were awarded a trophy for 'Best Company of the Year'. Team Equipo were successful with their innovative product the 'EarBuddy', a unique earphone holder. Mr Tweats Head of Business Studies said "The students were incredible, their presentation was outstanding, they have worked extremely hard over the past year developing a product that is quirky and functional – we are very proud". We wish them success in the next round at the West Midlands Final 12th June 2013 - well done!

They say a final is the biggest event in someone’s sporting career, a winner’s medal the ultimate prize. Alleyne’s Sixth Form rugby team achieved their goal in a hard fought encounter against Aldersley High School from Wolverhampton.
